May 20 — Artist Demo, 12-3 p.m.: Tom Elliott of Medford Studios will make a stringed folk instrument from scrap materials. Location: Look for the “Demo Today!” sign in the market aisles to find Tom’s booth.

May 27 — Flower Day. In addition to our regular artists and crafters, the Ann Arbor Farmers’ Market growers will be at the market offering flowers, plants, bulbs, seeds, and seedlings. We’ll have food trucks, live music, backyard beekeeping tips, gardening how-to advice  from master gardeners.


June 3

  • Artist Demo, 12-3 p.m. — Penny Harper will demonstrate making a magnet tin, and Denise Reed will show how she makes beaded artwork on canvas.  Location: Look for the “Demo Today!” signs in the market aisles to find Penny’s and Denise’s booths.
  • Zingerman’s Camp Bacon at the Market, 11am – 2pm. Come down to the market—just a block from Zingerman’s Deli —to celebrate great pork with a three-hour street fair. An array of food vendors will be selling, sampling, and showcasing all things bacon. It’s a great way to have lunch, sample new bacon fares, or just have some fun with bacon-based games for kids of all ages.

June 10 — Artist Demo, 12-3 p.m.: Barry Braun of Swallowtail Pottery will have a potter’s wheel on hand and will “throw clay” to make mugs, bowls, and other items.  Location: Look for the “Demo Today!” sign in the market aisles to find Barry’s booth.

June 17 — Artist Demo, 12-3 p.m.: Jonathan McMurray of Heartsleeves Studios will sculpt a figurine out of clay.  Location: Booth 60.

June 24

  • Artist Demo, 12-3 p.m.: Melissa & Tim Johnson of Woodland Wireworks will assemble buttons using a button press. Kids can make buttons on site and take home a free button.   Location: Booth 1.
  • Children’s Art Sale & Demo:  Flipside Art Studio students will be at the market to sell clay bowls they made at a special Flipside class. The students will demonstrate making the bowls and will take custom orders that customers can take home that day. Join us for this special event to help encourage young artists and promote their work.


July 16 (Monday) — Ann Arbor Townie Street Party, North University & Ingalls Mall. Bring the kids by The Sunday Artisan Market booth at this local annual event for some hands-on arts and crafts. Free.

July 22 — Mixed-Media Art Show and Sale: Children from Flipside Art Studio Summer Camps will be at the market to showcase and sell their work. More details about this special event will be posted as they become available. Stay tuned to our Events page for more information.


Sept. 9 — Kerrytown Bookfest. The market is closed on this date. 


Nov. 11 — Our Holiday Open House, 11am-4pm (in conjunction with the  Kerrytown Open House). Free raffle at the Market with a chance to win one of our artisan’s handmade creations.


Dec. 2 — TubaFest. A wonderful hour-long concert at the market from 2-3 pm;. Arrive a bit early to get a good parking spot.
