JULY

July 8  — Artist Demo. Heavy Artwork’s Barb Stewart will demonstrate the grouting process, after which the picture emerges from the glass mosaic. The grouting process is the final stage in the formation of one of Barb’s pieces. Location: Booth 53.

July 15  — Artist Demo.  Serendipity Artistry’s Elizabeth Connolly and Gigi Diaz will show how they create mixed-media string art using string and paper. Location: Look for the “Demo Today!” sign in the market aisles to find the location of this demonstration.

July 16 (Monday) — Ann Arbor Townie Street Party, North University & Ingalls Mall. Bring the kids by The Sunday Artisan Market booth in the Community Central area for some hands-on arts and crafts that the kids can take home. Free.

July 22 — Children’s Art Show: The Sunday Artisan Market will partner with Flipside Art Studio for a special mixed-media student art show. Selected young artists from the studio will be at the market to show their artwork, and some items may be for sale.  Join us for this special event to help encourage young artists and promote their work. Located in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, Flipside Art Studio offers youth and adult classes, children’s camps, and much more.

AUGUST

 Aug 5 — Artist Demo. Julie Hill of Hole in the Wall Woodworking will make wood puzzles and ornaments using a scroll saw. Location: Booth 55.

 Aug 12 — 8th Annual Fairy Day. One of our most popular annual events, this year’s Fairy Day will include arts & crafts for the kids, a treasure hunt, face painting, and an urban fairy discussion by local fairyologist Jonathan Wright (see Jonathan’s website at https://urban-fairies.com/index.html). Fairy Day activities will be held from 12-3pm. Ann Arbor’s Flipside Art Studio is helping The Sunday Artisan Market coordinate this event.  Aug 19 — Artist Demo. Teresa Kovalak of Monet’s Crystal Garden will make a wind chime out of a silver-plated teapot. Location: Booths 62-63.

 Aug 26 — Artist Demo. Mike Mouradian of LawnTrout Guitars will make a 3-stringed guitar out of a cigar box. Location: Look for the “Demo Today!” sign in the market aisles for the location of this demonstration.

SEPTEMBER

Sept. 9 — Kerrytown Bookfest. The market is closed on this date. 

NOVEMBER

Nov. 11 — Our Holiday Open House, 11am-4pm (in conjunction with the  Kerrytown Open House). Free raffle at the Market with a chance to win one of our artisan’s handmade creations.

DECEMBER

Dec. 2 — TubaFest. A wonderful hour-long concert at the market from 2-3 pm;. Arrive a bit early to get a good parking spot.
